פרוססור ARM7 הוא פרוססור 32 ביט מתקדם של חברת ARM. הרבה חברות מיצרות פרוססורים מבוססים עליו.
בהרצאה זו נדבר על הפעלת לינוקס על פרוססור של NXP (פיליפס לשעבר) מסדרת LPC22xx.

הרצאה זו מבוססת על דרך יסורים ארוכה שעברתי עם לקוח שלי שביקש שאפעיל לינוקס על המערכת שלו מבוססת LPC2210.
בהרצאה נעבור על הדברים הבאים:
  1. ארכיטקטורת המערכת והמגבלות שלה
  2. למה בכלל להפעיל לינוקס על מערכת כזו
  3. לינוקס ללא יחידת ניהול זכרון
  4. מה הקשיים בהתקנת לינוקס על פרוססור כזה
  5. עד כמה זה היה נראה קל בהתחלה ולמה זה לא כל כך פשוט
  6. השלבים אותם עברנו עד שראינו את ה prompt של לינוקס

למרות שההרצאה מדברת על פרוססור ספציפי, להערכתי היא תעניין כל משתמש לינוקס המעוניין להכיר את המערכת טוב יותר.
