מאבקים על עתיד האינטרנט בישראל

האינטרנט הופך להיות יותר ויותר פופולרי, בעיקר עם כניסת הנושא של האינטרנט האינטראקטיבי מה שמכונה היום Web 2.0, האינטרנט הופך להיות יותר פופולרי מתמיד.

אבל לצערינו זה מלווה בלא מעט מאבקים.

מצד הממשלה יש קולות המדברים על צנזורה באינטרנט ומאחר שאינטרנט אינו מדיום משודר כמו טלוזיה או רדיו, אלא מדיום נצרך, שבו גם ההפרדה בין משדר לקולט, די עמומה (אינטרנט אינטראקטיבי) אז אין בעצם דרך אמיתית לצנזורה. בכל אופן לא בטכנולוגיה הקיימת היום כך שאם אכן תונהג צנזורה כזו, זה עלול לגרום לקריסת הרשת כולה.

גם אם בעתיד תיהיה טכנולוגיה כזו, למרות שלפי הכירותי עם הרשת, טכנולוגיה כזו היא בלתי אפשרית, סביר להניח שהפעלת טכנולוגיה כזו תגרום להאטה משמעותית ועל ידי כך בעצם לקריסת הרשת.

לשמחתינו מספר ארגונים גדולים נרתמו למאבק בחוק החשוך הזה. איגוד האינטרנט, לשכת עורכי הדין, אגודת העיתונאים, הם רק חלק מהמתנגדים לחוק הזה.
כולם ללא יוצא מן הכלל אומרים שמדובר בחוק תקדימי וב"מדרון חלקלק" העלול להביא לצנזור תכנים לפי גחמות ליבו של שר התקשורת כך שביום בו יהיה שר תקשורת משינוי למשל, לא יוצגו תכנים דתיים ברשת, ביום בו יהיה שר תקשורת דתי (כמו היום) לא יוצגו תכנים חילוניים. נכון שזה לא נאמר בחוק, אבל זו הסכנה בחוק תקדימי שכזה.

אבל זה לצערינו לא המאבק היחידי. ישנו עוד מאבק לא פחות חשוב והוא על חופש הביטוי.

אפשר לומר שהקש ששבר את גב הגמל היה התנהגות ערוץ הספורט One כנגד בלוגר אחד המכונה יגרמייסטר.
אותו בלוגר כתב בפלטפורמת הבלוגים תפוז, בלוג שהפך להיות מאד פופולרי. בין השאר הבלוג הכיל ביקורת כנגד ערוץ הספורט. ערוץ הספורט, במקום להתמודד עם הביקורת בצורה עניינית, העדיפו לשלוח מכתבים מאיימים להנהלת תפוז.
הנהלת תפוז בתורה בקשה מהבלוגר לשנות או להוריד את התכנים.
הוא בתגובה, הוריד את כל הבלוג. הוא לא רצה שיגידו לו מה לכתוב. לדעתי די בצדק.

הבלוג עבר מתפוז לאתר עצמאי וכמובן המאבק לא נגמר, עדיין נשלחו תביעות נגדו.

אני חושב שהמאבק על חופש הדיבור באינטרנט הוא מאבק עקרוני ואסור לנו לוותר בשום מקרה. זה אינו רק המקרה של בלוגר אחד. אלא של כולנו, כל משתמשי האינטרנט.
